QUT Consulting Society are proud to be hosting QUT’s first ever internal case competition. After years of success worldwide, and as the first university to host an international competition in Australia, QUT has earned its reputation in the case competition world.
Students can sign up in teams of 2-4 to compete. Competitors will be emailed out a business case on the 14th of August and be required to email back their powerpoint on the 18th of August. Presentations will occur on Wednesday the 19th. Competitors will have 10 minutes to present their solution to a panel of judges including representatives from BlueSky VC, the Australian Institute of Management Consultants, the QUT Business School, and others.
The winning team will be announced shortly after.
This competition is aimed at people who have never competed in something like this before, so grab some friends and have a go. We will also be hosting information sessions on presenting skills and case analysis to help get everyone ready for the competition.

What is a case competition you ask?
A case competition is when students are given 10-20 pages of information about a business containing information about the products, competitors, markets they operate in and the challenges the business faces.
After analysing and discussing the key issues, teams create recommendations advising the business on what they should do to address these challenges.
To prepare for the competition we encourage you to attend the following workshops
Students can sign up in premade teams or individually and you will be grouped with someone. Good luck!
